The Medicine that Works

Functional medicine is revolutionizing medical practice and changing the face of healthcare. It’s a new model of care grounded in a systems-oriented approach to healthcare that focuses on how the body functions and identifying and addressing the root causes of disease. Unlike conventional medicine, which often concentrates on treating or mitigating symptoms, functional medicine practitioners seek to understand the underlying factors contributing to health issues and create personalized wellness plans to address these root causes.

Our Philosophy

We believe to have a life of longevity and vitality, balance exists in all areas of our life, and our bodies have an innate wisdom to find and maintain this balance regardless of our actions. Its about implementing positive, long-lasting lifestyle habits that create balance between your work and personal life.

We need to support our bodies’ natural optimal function by making proper choices in food, lifestyle, work-life balance and environmental exposures to fuel our perseverance, resilience, and willingness to overcome challenges and live for optimal performance, with joy, fulfillment, or even a sense of purpose and meaning.

We need to complement current medicine by leveraging all of the advancements in science and technology and apply fundamental principles of an integrated, holistic, yet individualized systems-based approach to healing the person. We need to apply natural alternative therapies and interventions aimed at minimizing prescriptions and invasive procedures.

My Story…

After working for 25 years as a Strategic Healthcare Nurse Leader and Clinical Advisor, I was frustrated with the continuous reactionary culture of our current healthcare system and the enormous reliance on prescription medications to manage the prevalence of chronic conditions and many other symptom-based conditions. In addition, my own mid-career crisis of feeling unfulfilled, non- impactful and uninspired in my life sparked my decision to follow my passion for health and wellness. I added Functional Medicine and Health and Life Coach certifications and discovered an integrated way to achieve a state of well-being and high performance. Now I focus on using a foundation of functional medicine with my Executive Wellness Coaching practice to help busy, mid-career professional leaders feeling burnt out, depleted, and stuck, become invigorated, regain control of their health and life, while helping fulfill your highest potential in every role you play.

Our Passion


A chronic stress state, being a master-multitasker, and putting my own needs LAST is socially acceptable in today’s society and I was living this lifestyle to its fullest! Therefore, having a hectic work and family life, feeling overwhelmed and “bleh” were all the reasons I used to rationalize that what I was experiencing as a Mom of 3 was NORMAL and thinking “I’M FINE!”.

I had sleeping difficulties that added to my brain fog and existing exhaustion. I was feeling bloated and sluggish from a slower metabolism and I was noticeably more irritable with a growing mid-section. I tried to cut out my carbohydrates, exercised excessively and tried to eat “healthy”, while sleeping only 4-5 hrs/night because I had to “catch-up”.

To top this off, I felt “unfulfilled” in life, and felt like the energy was zapped out of me! One day I said “That’s it!”, took charge of my life and finally put myself FIRST!

Understanding the root cause of my stressors and how my body responded was a game changer for me. Knowledge is power and using it to take control of my desired results was the ultimate empowerment trip I needed!

  • I've come full circle in my healthcare career as a veteran clinical advisor, respected, thought leader in the healthcare industry spanning direct Nursing care, local and regional healthcare system operations, healthcare IT and informatics and currently digital health engagement, innovation and strategy.

    After many years of helping organizations create systems and processes to improve the health of patients and our overall healthcare system, I made the decision to leverage my knowledge, experiences, and passion to finally create my own system to start making real impact and inroads effectively healing others instead of perpetuating the status quo and draining our healthcare system.

    The broad, yet unique set of learnings and experiences gained throughout my 25+ years in Healthcare have validated for me, the necessary changes needed in order to effectively improve patient outcomes while slowing the staggering rise of chronic conditions and obesity, and it starts with understanding how to heal people.... Not just care and support them, but to heal them from inside out, as a holistic individual rather than a compartmentalized set of human systems.

    With extensive trainings from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), I'm using a root-cause approach to healing that leverages the fundamentals asking "why are you having these symptoms" instead of having symptoms being managed with prescriptions or invasive procedures.

    Working with me as your executive wellness coach is a journey of self-discovery to get to a point where you can balance your physical, mental, social, emotional, and even spiritual states of health. I help senior leaders achieve success in implementing positive, long-lasting healthy lifestyle habits that create balance between your work and personal life, empowering you to thrive in all areas.

    • Step 1: Book a free strategy conversation to determine if we are a right fit for your needs.

    • Step 2: If it's determined that we'll partner together, select the appropriate Functional Coaching Program and complete an in-depth on-line health assessment.

    • Step 3: Schedule an initial Functional Medicine Private Consultation -75-90 minutes.

    • Step 4: Complete any specialized lab tests if needed (costs of lab are additional).

    • Step 5: Schedule the Review and Analysis Visit to discuss findings and initial wellness plan.

    • Step 6: Schedule the Wellness Plan Review visit to review personalized plan and set up your schedule for private 1:1 coaching sessions.

  • Once enrolled in one of our coaching programs, you will be expected to be committed and show up for all of your scheduled sessions, complete necessary action items and commit to your health journey for the duration of your program.

    Provide accurate information on any current medications, dietary supplementation and general intake and lifestyle behaviors. Bring any previous lab results obtained within 6-12 months of your scheduled appointment.

    The client understands that successful coaching requires a co-active collaborative approach between client and coach. In the coaching relationship, the coach plays the role of a facilitator of change, but it is the client's responsibility to enact or bring about the change. If the client believes the coaching is not working as desired, the client will communicate and take action to return the power to the coaching relationship.
